Editorial Policies

Publication Frequency

Tika Journal publishes 3 (three) edition numbers every year, which are published in April, August and December. Articles can be submitted at any time.

Peer Review Process

Manuscripts published in the Tika Journal have gone through a review process carried out by at least two Bestari partners. The review process is carried out using a double blind peer review mechanism to check the quality of the manuscript and the suitability of the method of writing the manuscript. Before going through the review process, each manuscript goes through a plagiarization checking process using Google Scholar and Turnitin tools. Manuscripts must have a similarity value of less than 25%. The editor determines whether the manuscript is accepted or not.

Open Access Policy

The Tika Journal provides open access to articles published in the spirit of disseminating research results to the public for the development of science. Users are allowed to read, download, copy and print the available articles.

Archiving

Tika Journal management utilizes OJS which is supported by LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe). A system for archiving journals permanently and securely. LOCKSS is open source software developed at the Libraries of Stanford University that allows libraries to maintain selected journal websites by collecting regular backup data from listed journal websites for newly published content and archiving them. Each archive is continuously validated against other library caches, and if content is found to be damaged or lost, other caches or journals are used to re-store.

Copyright Notice

Tika Journal adopts the Creative Common Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International license model (CC BY-SA 4.0). Conditions that must be met by the author:

The author retains copyright and grants the journal simultaneous first publication rights of the manuscript with a license under the Creative Common Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-SA 4.0) which permits others to share the work with an acknowledgment of authorship of the work and initial publication in this journal.
Authors may enter into separate additional contractual arrangements for non-exclusive distribution of rich versions of journal publications (e.g. posting them to an institutional repository or publishing them in a book), with acknowledgment of their initial publication in this journal.
Authors are permitted and encouraged to post their work online (e.g. in institutional repositories or on their websites) before and during the submission process, as this can lead to productive exchange, as can earlier and greater citations of the published work. (See Effects of Open Access).

Manuscript cancellation

Authors are not allowed to cancel a manuscript that has been submitted because canceling or withdrawing a manuscript is useless work (waste of energy and time) carried out by the editor or reviewer. Unless there is compulsion for one reason or another that requires the manuscript to be removed, we do not guarantee that manuscripts that have been widely circulated will be lost in the distribution of those that have been registered in the indexing machine.

If the author still wants to cancel the submitted manuscript, the author will be subject to a fine of Rp. 500,000,- (five hundred thousand rupiah). Cancellation will be carried out by the editor, if the author has made payment and sent proof of payment to the Tika Journal editorial team.

If the author does not agree to pay the fine, the author will be blacklisted for publication in the Tika Journal. Even previously published manuscripts will be deleted in the Tika Journal. In the blacklist, the author's full name, email of all authors, and the author's affiliation will be written.

The author has no clarity on the manuscript

The author has submitted the manuscript and has gone through the review process, and the results of the review have been submitted by the editor to the author. However, there was no response from the author to correct the manuscript for more than 6 months, so the manuscript is still in active status in the Jurnal Tika online system. Because of this, editors and reviewers have done work in vain (waste of energy and time).
For such authors, the author will be blacklisted for publication in the Tika Journal. Even previously published manuscripts will be deleted in the Tika Journal. In the blacklist, the author's full name, email of all authors, and the author's affiliation will be written.

Deletion or addition of one or more authors' names after publication

Removing or adding an author's name to a published manuscript requires sending a form for deleting/adding an author's name that is approved by all authors. The correction form must state the reasons why the name must be deleted/added which is known to all authors and proven by the signatures of all authors. The changes that occur will be recorded as additional notes to the published manuscript and published as part of the journal management policy in journal management to ensure management accountability.
