SURVEY ON THE NUTRITIONAL STATUS OF CHILDREN IN KINDERGARTEN UNDER THE SAME ROOF SDN 9 JULY BIREUEN DISTRICT

Abstract

Infant Mortality Rate (IMR) in Indonesia in 2014 to decrease from the previous year from 84 deaths per 1,000 live births to 29 deaths per 1,000 live births. However, Indonesia still faces challenges, let alone the overall efforts to reduce maternal and child mortality has slowed, even reaching the point of stagnation over the last 5-10 years. This study aimed to determine the nutritional status of children in kindergarten Stop Shop SDN July 9 Bireuen. This is a descriptive study with a population of 31 respondents, the sample in this study is the whole of the population with the number of 31 respondents. The sampling technique is total sampling. The data collected by weighing the weight by using a Bathroom Scale and height gauge respondents using Microtoice, this research has been conducted in kindergarten Stop Shop SDN July 9 Bireuen on 04 s / d August 5, 2015. The results of the study that the weight toddler body with a majority of 18 kg as many as 11 respondents (36%), height 117 cm majority of respondents with as many as five respondents (16%). The results showed that the nutritional status of the majority of respondents are in the normal category. It is expected that parents can control the nutritional status of children under five, especially for parents whose babies experiencing below normal nutritional status in order to maintain a healthy diet and a clean environment.
