Abstract

Obstetric care of childbirth is care that is carried out to assist labor until the baby and placenta are born. Maternal and infant mortality rates in Indonesia are very high, therefore it is important for pregnant women to get health services according to standards. The purpose of writing this article is to provide labor care to mother A at the Midwife Independent Practice. The research method used observational case study method using qualitative data conducted at PMB in November 2023. The subject in this case is mother A aged 32 years G2P1A0. The results of care given to mother A aged 32 years G2P1A0 obtained labor with umbilical cord winding, midwives provide labor care in accordance with the standard 60 steps of APN. So that the condition of the mother and baby can return to normal. The conclusion of this study is that midwifery care for mother A has been carried out in accordance with the standard 60 steps of APN. However, several gaps were found in the labor process, namely during labor the midwife pushed the mother's abdomen to speed up the labor process, used non-sterile handscoons and other gaps the midwife did not give Hb-0 to the newborn.
