Analisis Klasifikasi Tanah Dengan Metode USCS (Kecamatan Pegasing, Kabupaten Aceh Tengah)

Abstrak

This study aims to determine the soil type and classification in Pegasing District, Central Aceh Regency, using the Unified Soil Classification System (USCS). Soil samples were collected from three villages, namely Simpang Kelaping, Kung, and Belang Bebangka, with three sampling points at each location. Laboratory tests included water content, Atterberg limits, mass density, and particle-size distribution. The results showed average water contents of 467.71% in Simpang Kelaping, 597.34% in Kung, and 467.86% in Belang Bebangka. The average mass densities were 2.00, 1.69, and 1.78 g/cm³, respectively. Particle-size analysis indicated that the samples were predominantly sand. Based on the USCS analysis, all samples were classified as coarse-grained soils dominated by sand and identified as poorly graded sand (SP). The findings provide preliminary information for construction planning and geotechnical considerations in Pegasing District
