Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the bearing capacity of mini pile piles in the Fandika General Hospital construction project with various dimensions of 20×20 cm, 25×25 cm, and 30×30 cm at a depth of 13 m, using the Meyerhof empirical method based on Cone Penetration Test (CPT) data. The problem formulations raised include: how to calculate the bearing capacity of piles with various dimensions based on CPT data, and  the most optimal pile dimensions used from a technical and efficiency perspective. The objectives of the study are to obtain the ultimate bearing capacity (Pu) value for each dimension variation and to determine the most appropriate dimensions for the project field conditions. The data used consist of primary data in the form of CPT test results and foundation design drawings, as well as secondary data such as pile specifications with K-300 concrete quality. The calculation of bearing capacity is carried out by dividing the contribution of end bearing and skin friction. The analysis results show a maximum load capacity of 34.67 tons for a 20x20 cm pile, 54.17 tons for a 25x25 cm pile, and 78.00 tons for a 30x30 cm pile. Increasing the dimensions from 20x20 to 25x25 cm results in a capacity increase of approximately 56%, while increasing the capacity from 20x20 to 30x30 cm by approximately 125%. The conclusion of this study indicates that variations in pile dimensions significantly influence bearing capacity. The larger the cross-sectional dimensions, the larger the tip and circumference area of the pile, which increases both the tip bearing capacity and the bedding friction. The results of this study are expected to serve as a technical reference for designing similar building foundations, considering the balance between bearing capacity requirements, cost efficiency, implementation methods, and local soil conditions.
