The postpartum period is a phase that requires special monitoring to prevent emergencies and complications. One of the factors influencing the recovery process during the postpartum period is the care and motivation provided by healthcare professionals, with attention to the well-being of both the mother and the baby. An inverted nipple is a condition in which the nipple is retracted inward and does not protrude normally. This condition may occur in one or both breasts and can cause difficulty with infant attachment during breastfeeding. Low milk supply is a condition in which breast milk production is insufficient to meet the infant’s needs. This condition may involve physiologically low milk production or the mother’s perception that her milk supply is insufficient (perceived insufficient milk supply/PIMS). This study used an observational case study design with a midwifery care approach during the postpartum period, conducted in July 2025. The subject of this case study was Mrs. M, 22 years old, G1P0A0. Based on the results of the case study conducted at the Jum’ati Independent Midwifery Practice (TPMB Jum’ati), Samalanga District, Bireuen Regency, the mother reported that her breast milk production had decreased again. The care provided included education regarding adequate nutritional intake, particularly the consumption of protein-rich foods as one of the efforts to support breast milk production. The mother was also advised to breastfeed her baby as frequently as needed to promote effective milk removal and stimulate breast milk production. The care provided is expected to help increase breast milk production and support successful breastfeeding.
