Clay Soil as the foundation for a construction project must meet the requirements for soil bearing capacity. Research on soil is crucial to ensure the stability of the construction built upon it since the structural strength is directly influenced by the subgrade's ability to bear and transfer the applied loads. This study focuses on stabilizing clay soil in Paya Lipah Village, Peusangan Subdistrict, Bireuen Regency, by adding bamboo ash at 0%, 3%, 6%, and 9% as a soil stabilization material to enhance soil strength through Proctor and CBR tests. The soil samples were taken from Paya Lipah Village, Peusangan Subdistrict, Bireuen Regency. The test results showed that the use of bamboo ash as a stabilizing material for clay soil increased the moisture content of the original soil from 15.28% to 16.94% at a 9% bamboo ash mixture. Additionally, the use of bamboo ash for soil stabilization improved the Unsoaked CBR value in line with the increase in bamboo ash content, with the original soil’s Unsoaked CBR value rising from 4.0% to 39.8% at a 9% bamboo ash mixture.
