Publication Ethics

This statement clarifies the ethical behavior of all parties involved in the act of publishing a manuscript in the Jurnal Rekayasa Teknik dan Teknologi (REKATEK), managed by the Faculty of Engineering of Al Muslim University including authors, editors, and reviewers.

 

The publication of a manuscript is very important to be considered regarding its ethics, this is also stated in the Jurnal Rekayasa Teknik dan Teknologi (REKATEK). Jurnal Rekayasa Teknik dan Teknologi (REKATEK) publishes manuscripts from both theoretical and empirical reviews from various author sources that can be accounted for. This is important for the development of science to be implemented in the economic development of a country. Thus, a coherent and respected knowledge network needs to be established within the Journal's publication Ethical Guidelines. This is a direct reflection of the quality of the work of the authors and supporting institutions. Manuscripts in the Scientific Jurnal Rekayasa Teknik dan Teknologi (REKATEK) are peer-reviewed to support and realize the scientific method. It is then important to agree on the expected standards of ethical behavior for all parties involved in the act of publishing, namely authors, journal editors, reviewers, publishers and the public.

The Faculty of Engineering of Al Muslim University as the publisher of the Jurnal Rekayasa Teknik dan Teknologi (REKATEK) takes its trusteeship duties beyond all stages of publishing very seriously and we carry them out with ethical and other responsibilities.

 

Prior to the online and print publication of the Jurnal Rekayasa Teknik dan Teknologi (REKATEK), the Chief Editor in charge of the publication seeks input from other editors as well as suggestions from reviewers. Where, this is also based on a series of journal publications starting from submitting manuscripts, checking editors, checking reviewers, checking layouts, checking plagiarism and copyright. This is under the supervision of the Chief Editor and other Editors with given authority, so that a publication decision for the manuscript appears in the Jurnal Rekayasa Teknik dan Teknologi (REKATEK).

However, review comments from editors and reviewers need to respect the authors. And reviewers are required to be consistent in their decisions and recommendations to editors and authors.

Reviewers are required to pay attention to every source that comes from all manuscripts submitted to Jurnal Rekayasa Teknik dan Teknologi (REKATEK), where the manuscript is submitted by the author through the editor. Each source needs to be verified and acknowledged through a list of reliable references.

This is to facilitate the improvement of the manuscript from the author in accordance with the rules of the Jurnal Rekayasa Teknik dan Teknologi (REKATEK).

Authors should ensure that they have written completely original work, and if the authors have used the work and/or words of others, it must be properly cited. If any citation and/or plagiarism issues are found in the author's work, the manuscript will be automatically rejected.

When an author submits a manuscript for publication in Jurnal Rekayasa Teknik dan Teknologi (REKATEK), the author is not allowed to submit the manuscript to other publishers simultaneously. Simultaneous submissions from authors are considered unethical and may not be accepted.

5. Acknowledgment of Sources
Every manuscript submitted by the author to Jurnal Rekayasa Teknik dan Teknologi (REKATEK) must acknowledge the sources that are appropriate and able to add value to the manuscript, all such acknowledgments must be clearly listed in the reference list.

6. Research Authorship
Authorship should be limited to those who have made a significant contribution to the research reported in the manuscript submitted to Jurnal Rekayasa Teknik dan Teknologi (REKATEK). Authors listed in the manuscript have a responsibility to keep co-authors posted with the review process. If accepted, all authors are required to provide a signed statement that the research work is their original research work.

7. Hazards and Human or Animal Subjects
If the work involves technical materials, procedures or tools that have many unusual hazards inherent in the authors' use, they must clearly identify all such matters in the manuscript.
8. Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest
All authors should disclose in their manuscripts all matters in which they supported the completion of their research. All financial supporters of the research should be disclosed.

9. Fundamental Errors in Published Work
When an author discovers a significant error or inaccuracy in his or her published work, it is the author's duty to immediately notify the editor or publisher of the journal and work with the editor to withdraw or correct the research.
