Author Guidelines

Manuscript submission is in accordance with the Jurnal Sains Pertanian template (download here).  The editors accept manuscripts from various research institutions. The manuscripts submitted are the results of research within the last 5 years, have never been published, are not in the process of evaluating other publications, and have received approval from co-authors (if any), as parties who are equally responsible for the substance of the research. The publisher is not responsible for requests for compensation related to the manuscript. Manuscripts should be sent through the link: . Manuscripts are typed using the MS Word program, single-spaced with 2.5 cm from the left edge and 2 cm each from the top, right, and bottom edges of the paper. The manuscript is typed in Garamond typeface with font size 12. The maximum length of the manuscript is 15 pages including tables, figures, and appendices. Language. Jurnal Sains Pertanian publishes articles in Indonesian language. The use of Indonesian terms should follow the latest edition of the Big Indonesian Dictionary published by the Indonesian Language Development and Development Center.
 
1. Journals must be concise, clear and reflect the contents of the manuscript in no more than 16 words Author's Name1*, Author's Name2, Author's Name3, Author's Name4 Author's name for correspondence is given a printed envelope mark (superscript).
 
2. ABSTRACT. Abstracts are made in two languages, Indonesian and English. Abstracts are made in two languages, Indonesian and English. The abstract contains briefly about the background, objectives, methods, significant results, conclusions and implications of the research results. The abstract contains a maximum of 200 words, single-spaced, Garamond 9 pt font, 1.5 spaces. Below the abstract are keywords consisting of a maximum of six words, where the first word is the most important. The English abstract is a translation of the Indonesian. The editor reserves the right to edit the abstract for clarity reasons. Keywords: First Word, Second Word and Third Word

4. Introduction with a space of 1.5 Garamond 12 pt font, with justify (right and left aligned). Contains background, formulation of problems to be solved, review of relevant literature, purpose and importance of research. The literature review is in the form of recent articles according to the topic discussed, and published within the last five years. Literature that has been published in a longer period of time can be used as long as it is still relevant, and the amount should not exceed 50% of the entire literature. References should be publications from the last 10 years, with a minimum of 50% journals. For writing the content of the article, this template should be used to make it easier for the author to manage the layout of the article written. The editor-in-chief will check the suitability of the article content with the article template that has been prepared, so it is expected that the article follows the rules in this writing as well as possible so that the journal printing becomes uniform for each article written. The citation in the text follows APA style format. Quoting, such as "Hilda (2005) in Yusdiana et al., (2007), and using "Anonymous" as a reference is not permitted. Examples of writing the author's name when citing at the beginning or at the end of a sentence such as the name of the author left in the citation: Marlina (2018) states that ... or ... has an effect in certain circumstances (Marlina, 2018). Name of two authors in the citation: Ajmir & Irfannur (2017) state that ... or ... is optimal (Ajmir & Irfannur, 2017). Name of three authors in the citation: Pratama et al. (2016) state that ... or ... accelerates the rate of plant growth (Pratama et al., 2016).
 
5. Materials and Methods are written with a space of 1.5 Garamond 12 pt. font with justify (right and left aligned). Includes place and time, research material, research design, research procedures, parameters, and data analysis clearly. Materials and methods can be sub-chaptered to make it easier for readers to understand the manuscript. Writing sub-chapter titles with capital letters at the beginning of the sentence. Methods that are generally known or have been published only need to include the source or reference. For special (modified) or new process and analysis methods, the working procedures should be listed in detail.
 
6. Results and Discussion are written with a space of 1.5 Garamond 12 pt font. With justify (right and left aligned). Results and discussion are clearly narrated. Attach the results first and then explain them, and only explain significant findings, and are related to the discussion that will be presented based on the methods used. If you want to refer to a table/graphic/diagram or figure, the results contained in the section can be described clearly by not using the phrase 'See Table 1'. If an average value is used, the standard deviation must also be included. Images can be photos, graphs, diagrams and maps. The title of the figure should be brief and clear. The caption accompanying the image must be able to stand alone, written in Indonesian. Images are sent in jpg/jpeg format with a resolution of 300 dpi and for line drawings at least 600 dpi. Separate from the body of the paper or in a different file. Tables. Tables are given a brief and clear title in Indonesian. Tables are numbered sequentially according to the information in the text and the font used is Garamond 10 pt. the table caption is placed below the table. Tables are not enclosed with a vertical line, only using a horizontal line that separates the title and bottom border.
 
7. Conclusions are written with a space of 1.5 Garamond 12 pt font. With justify (right and left aligned). Conclusions should be written briefly in one paragraph, but reflect the experimental results obtained, maximum 100 words. You may add suggestions if necessary.
 
8. Acknowledgments (if any) to people or institutions that helped the research.
 
9. References are displayed at the end of the article and are sorted alphabetically from the main author's surname. The font used is Garamond 9 pt, with 8 mm hanging format, as in the example below. The text or sentence in the main idea that refers to the reference is marked with the last name of the author. Citations and references are written in APA Style and accompanied by a DOI. We recommend that authors use a reference management system (RMS) such as Mendeley, Zotero, or Endnote.
