MANAJEMEN SEKOLAH ADIWIYATA DALAM MEMBENTUK KARAKTER PEDULI LINGKUNGAN PADA SMA SWASTA LAWE SAWAH KABUPATEN ACEH SELATAN TAHUN PELAJARAN 2022/2023

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to improve the performance of teachers at SMA Swasta Lawe Sawah Aceh Selatan in the 2022/2023 Academic Year. The subjects of this school action research were students of SMA Swasta Lawe Sawah Aceh Selatan in the 2022/2023 Academic Year. The subjects of this school's action research were students of SMA Swasta Lawe Sawah Aceh Selatan in the 2022/2023 Academic Year. The environmental damage caused by humans is enormous. Because of these problems, the government made regulations on the environment by implementing environmental education in schools called the Adiwiyata Program. The formulation of this problem is how the management of the Adiwiyata school at SMA Swasta Lawe Sawah Aceh Selatan is the implication of the Adiwiyata program in shaping the character of caring for the environment in SMA Swasta Lawe Sawah Aceh Selatan students. This school action research was carried out in the 2022/2023 academic year. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews and documentation. The data analysis technique used was data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. And test the validity of the data using the triangulation of techniques and sources. The result of this research is that Adiwiyata school management in SMA Swasta Lawe Sawah Aceh Selatan is arranged and implemented in such a way by the school to achieve a superior Adiwiyata school. The implication of the Adiwiyata program in shaping the character of caring for the environment in students at SMA Swasta Lawe Sawah Aceh Selatan is that students become accustomed to disposing and sorting waste according to its type, besides that students can also be more creative with competitions that are held at school. Researcher's suggestion for school principals and teachers is that it can further improve the quality of teaching and habituation to students to keep the surrounding environment clean
