Author Guidelines

A.  GENERAL

  1. Manuscripts should be original, have never been published in any scientific journal, or being under consideration for publication elsewhere, and would not be submitted to any media during the review process unless the author has officially withdrawn the paper from JIP;
  2. Author(s) should agree to all the following conditions upon the submission: (a) The content of the manuscript or the majority of the content should have never been published, (b) The manuscript is not currently being submitted to other journals and would not be sent to other media during the review process unless the authors have officially withdrawn their manuscript from JIP with an official letter containing relevant reasons for withdrawal signed by the corresponding author; (c) Authors agree to follow all manuscript selection processes according to JIP procedure, including revising the manuscript based on the editor and reviewers’ comments within the determined period; (d) Authors should declare no conflict of interest regarding financial, personal, or other issues with any party or organizations discussed in the manuscript. (e) All authors’ names listed in the manuscript hold a right to be the author and agree with the final form of the submitted manuscript; (f) Authors retain the copyright of the manuscript.
  3. Manuscript should be a research or review paper in the field of animal science, including breeding and genetics, nutrition and feeds, physiology, socioeconomics of farming, livestock product technology, reproduction, and livestock development policy.
  4. Manuscripts should highlight its state of the art, novelty, advanced perspective and approach, completeness of work, and sharp analysis and synthesis.
  5. JIP is published tWO times a year, April and October

B.  MANUSCRIPT FILE

  1. The manuscript should be written in English or Indonesian;
  2. The manuscript should be written by two or more authors. A single-authored manuscript will be desk-rejected;
  3. The manuscript should use the paper template provided by JIP
  4. The manuscript should be written on a one-column page, double spaced.
  5. The manuscript should be 12-15 pages length, A4, 2.5cm margin, double space, use 12-point times new roman (except tables and figures that should use 10-point font size);
  6. Table and figure should be put within the text (not separated) and numbered according to its appearance in the text;
  7. International system should be used as the measurement unit;
  8. The manuscript should be submitted through JIP website;
  9. All authors should be input in metadata completely (name, email, affiliation, address, and phone number).
  10. Manuscripts that do not comply with the requirement would not be processed and informed to authors through JIP OJS page and email.
  11. Manuscripts content should be arranged as the following order: Title, Name of the author(s) and their institutions, Abstract, Introduction, Methods (for Socio-Economic), Materials and Methods (for non Socio-Economic), Results and Discussion, Conclusion, Conflict of Interest, Acknowledgment (if any), and References.

SUBMISSION PREPARATION CHECKLIST

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The content of the manuscript or the majority of the content should have never been published

  2. The manuscript is not currently being submitted to other journals and would not be sent to other media during the review process

  3. The manuscript should use the paper template provided by JIP
  4. All authors’ names listed in the manuscript hold a right to be the author and agree with the final form of the submitted manuscript.

  5. Authors retain the copyright of the manuscript
  6. Author(s) has been read and agree to the Ethical Guidelines
