ECONOMICS - Journal of Development Economics is a journal that disseminates ideas in the field of economics and development with a focus and scope: people's economic development, human development, employment & unemployment, empowering the potential of natural resources & the environment, trade, distribution and production, and monetary. Research articles, scientific works, policy analysis, original and actual critical ideas that are being developed locally/regionally, nationally and internationally. The articles published in this journal are of high quality and describe matters and issues in economic development and economic policy analysis.
General
Economics (Journal of development economics) publishes research results and ideas with specifications in economics, development policy and other related fields. Articles can be written in Indonesian or English and have never been published before. Published every six months annually, in March and September.
The copyright of the published article belongs to the Faculty of Economics, Almuslim Bireuen University - Aceh. Manuscripts must be within the scope and subject focus of the journal. Authors should refer to the instructions below when preparing manuscripts for submission on the online journal system (OJS) page. All applications will be reviewed by one editor and at least two reviewers. Once submitted, the Editor in Chief will submit the manuscript to the appropriate Editor for further handling. The editor will ask at least two scientists to review the manuscript. Based on the comments from the reviewers, the Editor and Editor-in-Chief will make decisions about the manuscript.
Writing Standard
Articles can be written in Indonesian or English in Microsoft word (doc) format, provided that: no more than 10 pages, typed in 10 Arial letters on quarto paper, single spaced. Conjunctions (and, in, or with, also, about, that, against, so, because, then, for,) and prepositions (in, to, from, in, in, through) are written in lower case. Tables and graphs use the Microsoft Excel program and images use the JEPG format. Foreign terms are italicized and bold for titles and subtitles. Manuscripts are arranged in the following order: Title, author's name, full name and institutional address of each author, email, abstract, introduction, theoretical review, conceptual framework, methodology, results and discussion, conclusions and references.
Script Content Guidelines
Title
The title must be short, clear, specific and informative which accurately reflects the contents of the manuscript. Title length between 10 - 12 words (not including conjunctions) written in Indonesian or English. Every word in the title of the manuscript begins with a capital letter, except for conjunctions that are not located at the beginning of the title. The author's name is written in full. The name of the institution/institution is written for all authors accompanied by a complete address (Affiliation of the Author, contains the name of the institution/organization/place of work/work of the author/place of study). Corresponding authors are provided with the first author's email address.
Abstract
Manuscript abstracts are written in two languages (English and Indonesian). For manuscripts in Indonesian, the Indonesian abstract is placed above English and does not exceed 200 words in each paragraph. The abstract is written in full describing the essence of the manuscript which includes background, methods, results and conclusions, and contains all the keywords.
Keywords
Key words maximum 5 (five) words or phrases written 2 spaces after the abstract, with a total of 3-7 keywords. And the JEL classification is italicized to categorize related research fields shown from: https://www.aeaweb.org/econlit/jelCodes.php?view=jel#A
Introduction
The introduction is written efficiently and describes the background to the problem, problem identification/limitations and objectives.
Theoretical Review
Theoretical study is one of the important elements that must be present in scientific writing and journal articles. The theoretical review or study contains a series of definitions, concept variables, and also a series of views on something that are neatly arranged, which then become the basis or basis of a research.
Conceptual framework
That is the relationship or link between one concept and another concept of the problem to be studied. This conceptual framework is useful for connecting, or explaining at length about a topic to be discussed. The conceptual framework is obtained from scientific concepts or theories that are used as the basis for scientific research obtained in the literature review. Can be in the form of charts/pictures that reveal the variables and/or the relationship between the variables studied.
Methodology
The method is written in full and in detail so that the research is very likely to be repeated by other researchers, especially matters relating to models, procedures, data collection and processing. The methodology continues what has been outlined in the conceptual framework and research objectives.
Results and Discussion
The description and discussion of the results should be made separately. Contains the results obtained and interpretations related to the results of previous studies.
Conclusion
General conclusions that describe the substance of the research results obtained, not a summary of the results.
Reference
Sources of citations and references must be the same. Reference writing format refers to APA (American Psychological Association Style) for citations and writing references. References use references from the last 10 years with a minimum proportion of 40% of journal literature: The literature used is the main literature (journals, dissertations, theses, and patent documents) that are relevant. Quoting literature from the internet is only allowed from trusted sources, such as journals, government or private agencies. Writing literature from the internet by including the date of data collection.
How to make a bibliography of an APA style book with writing format: Last name, first name. (Year). Title. Publisher city: Publisher name. Meanwhile, from journals with the format: Last name and initials of the author, either one or more than one author. (Publication Year). Journal article title. Journal name, journal volume in italics (Issue or Number), Pages.
