Community Perceptions Of The Presence Of Palm Oil Factory (Pt. Syaukath Sejahtera) In Cot Jabet Village, Gandapura District, Bireuen Regency

This study aims to determine community perceptions of the presence of the PT. Syaukath Sejahtera palm oil mill in Cot Jabet Village, Gandapura Subdistrict, Bireuen Regency. In managing the data, the researcher employed a qualitative approach by examining the research aspects. For analytical purposes, data were collected and processed using questionnaires by assigning weighted scores to each response based on a Likert scale. The results indicate that the overall community perception index toward the presence of the palm oil mill is 70.17%, showing that the community has a positive perception of the palm oil mill in terms of economic, social, and environmental aspects. The highest perception index was found in the social aspect at 75.47%, followed by the economic aspect at 68%, both categorized as high. Meanwhile, the environmental aspect recorded the lowest perception index at 67.04%, which is also categorized as high.
