Synergy Of Bioboost Biological Fertilizer And Organic NPK in Improving The Agronomic Performance Of Cucumber Plants (Cucumis sativus L.)

Cucumber (Cucumis sativus L.) is a high-value horticultural commodity, yet its productivity is often hindered by soil degradation caused by continuous chemical fertilization. This study aimed to evaluate the synergistic effect of Bioboost bio-fertilizer and organic NPK fertilizer on the agronomic performance of cucumber plants. The research employed a field experiment using a Randomized Block Design (RBD) with a factorial pattern. The first factor consisted of Bioboost dosages (0, 40, and 55 mL/L), and the second factor involved organic NPK dosages (0, 15, 45, and 60 g/plant).The results indicated that both fertilizers independently exerted a significant influence on growth and yield parameters, although no significant statistical interaction was found between the two factors. During the vegetative phase, Bioboost at a dosage of 55 mL/L (W2) consistently produced optimal plant height at 14 and 21 DAT. Interestingly, during early growth, plants without organic NPK (N0) showed superior height compared to those with high-dose treatments. However, organic NPK became crucial during the generative phase. A dosage of 45 g/plant (N2) proved to be the most effective, yielding the highest number of fruits (3.22), longest fruit length (19.82 cm), largest diameter (47.32 mm), and the highest fruit weight per plant at 0.89 kg. It is concluded that the combination of 55 mL/L Bioboost and 45 g organic NPK serves as the best technical recommendation to enhance cucumber quality and quantity while maintaining soil ecosystem sustainability.
