Abstract

Aceh Jaya Regency is one of the regencies located in the southwestern part of Aceh. Geloina mussels are a type of mussels that have habitat characteristics in coastal areas. The research component includes an assessment of the habitat of the Geloina Mussel, especially environmental components such as the condition of the living habitat substrate and its growth pattern. Bioecological assessments need to be carried out regularly, so that basic information about Geloina is obtained in the development of management in the field of aquatic ecology and fishery resource management. This research was conducted in Aceh Jaya Regency from September to December 2023. Sampling based on a 1 x 1 meter size plot. Each location point is repeated 3 times. Analyze the data using growth pattern equations. The results showed that the growth pattern of Geloina sp. shellfish was classified as positive allometric with a regression coefficient value of 2.521, determination coefficient (R2) of 0.96, correlation coefficient (r) of 0.98 and condition factors showing values ranging from 0.86 – 1.41.
