Fungsi Tari Likok Pulo Aceh: Media Komunikasi

Abstract

Abstract, The purpose of this study is to examine the function of the Likok Pulo Aceh Dance: communication media. Qualitative research methods with an interdisciplinary approach. The research data were collected by using observation, interview, and documentation techniques. Check the validity of the data using triangulation. Then analyzed using flow reduction, data presentation, and data verification. The results showed that the function of the Likok Pulo aceh Dance as a communication medium was the message conveyed through the Likok Pulo Dance, including through the dancers, namely when the dancers performed movements and poetry that gave advice to the people of Aceh Island about the rules of Allah swt and relations with the community. Through movements and poetry, the dancers give messages, the messages conveyed are related to aqidah, mumalah and morals, especially relationships with God and humans. Regarding the relationship with Allah, namely the correct way of reciting and not leaving prayer and shalawat, young people or the next generation should not argue with their parents, do not fulfill bad desires, for men and women there are procedures for choosing candidates life companion in accordance with the teachings of Islam or the Shari'a, as well as dealing with humans with mutual respect and always maintaining friendship. This research is expected to be able to instill these values ​​in the next generation and continue to be preserved.
