GAMBARAN TINGKAT PENGETAHUAN IBU HAMIL TRIMESTER III TENTANG PERSIAPAN PERSALINAN

Abstract

The reaction of pregnant women to childbirth generally depends on their perception of childbirth. Knowledge of childbirth preparation is very important regarding delivery plans, planning for decision making, preparing transportation systems in case of an emergency, making plans/patterns of saving. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of knowledge of pregnant women in the third trimester about preparation for childbirth. This type of research is quantitative research, with a descriptive research design. The sample of the study was third trimester pregnant women who had their pregnancy checked at the Independent Midwife Practice (PMB) Husniyati Palembang totaling 32 samples using a non-probability sampling technique with the accidental sampling method. The results of the univariate study were obtained as many as 18 respondents (56.2%) had good knowledge about preparation for childbirth and 14 respondents (43.8%) had sufficient knowledge about preparation for childbirth. Thus it can be concluded that most of the respondents have good knowledge about preparation for childbirth.
